In-Home Client/Aide Customer Service Rep (Monitor) --Sikeston Area




Assumes responsibility for assisting IH Total Care Manager with ensuring the quality of client care through appropriate and timely quality assurance, over-site and training of homemakers, develops a good relationship with clients and aides.



Education: Position requires a high school diploma or GED.  Must be 18 years of age and must be able to read, write and follow directions

 Regional Center Training is preferred but not required. Current CPR, First Aid and L1MA Certificates are all preferred as well.

Experience: Must have at least one year paid work experience as an agency homemaker, nurse aide, maid or household worker; or at least one (1) years' experience, paid or unpaid, in caring for children or for sick or aged individuals.  Successful completion of formal training in nursing arts, or as a nurse aide or Home health aide can substitute for the qualifying experience.


 Interpersonal Skills /Essential Functions:

  • Must have the ability to work efficiently and responsibly in a variety of environments with multiple work demands and short time frames. Have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, clients, families, caseworkers and other agencies as needed.
  • Must be able to accept supervision and assist supervisor by providing information necessary to ensure quality care is being provided by homemakers through proper monitoring procedures.
  • Must be able to express empathy and gain the trust of clients while inspecting homes during on-site visits. Position requires good listening skills and understanding of the needs of the elderly.
  • Must be able to meet all qualifications that are required of homemakers and be able to work as a homemaker as needed. Personal care may involve bathing, shampooing, nail care, mouth care, shaving and helping the client transfer to and from places within the home.  Homemaker chore may include general housekeeping, changing beds, shopping or errands, laundry or meal preparation.  Must be APC trained.  Must be present at work site which involves the entire area of the appointed branch. 


Physical Abilities: Employee should be able to sit for long periods of time.  Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, and key.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.   Occasionally the employee must lift and/ or move up to 50lbs with assistance.  Must occasionally walk short distances, be able to occasionally squat or reach overhead, be able to drive the appropriate miles to cover services in the entire branch area.

Standards: Must have reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.  Must be drug-free.  Must not be listed on the Employee Disqualification List or Family Care Safety Registry and meet all In-Home Regulations.
